The FinTech Center of the Institute for Interdisciplinary Information Sciences (IIIS-FTC) was founded in April 2016 and devoted to the interdisciplinary research between Information Sciences and Finance. Turing Award Winner Professor Andrew Chi-Chih Yao leads the IIIS-FTC. The IIIS-FTC derives its research capability from more than 30 IIIS faculty members’ years of research work in Financial Technology, Computational Economics, Game Theory, AI, Big Data, and Cloud Computing, and the Center aims to innovatively apply these state of the art research to improving the efficiency and competitiveness of the financial industry. The IIIS-FTC also partners with the tech and financial industry for joint research projects and commercializing of the center’s intellectual properties. Current industry partners include NetEase Finance, Bocom Technologies, as well as other top companies in the tech and financial industry.
